About Us

The Theatre

Performances are designed to expose and sensitize Kenyan society to the children's potential and the predicament of those who live on the streets. These performances not only help provide financial assistance for the home but have also proven to help the child realize his/her potential and gain self confidence and worth.

Achievements

  • Performances have received wide local and international media coverage
  • Trained teachers instruct the children with music, drama, taekwondo, acrobatics and dance after classes.

Founded and registered in 1994, Shangilia has proven the performing arts to be a unique means to change the attitudes and practices of 220 street children.
